Missing Elderly Man Sought In Hartford

HARTFORD, CT — City police are looking for a missing elderly man from Hartford, according to a Silver Alert issued Friday morning.

According to the alert, sent out at 9:13 a.m., Hartford police are looking for Vincent Thaxter, 83, who is described as a Black male with gray hair and brown eyes.

Police said he stands 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 145 pounds.

Thaxter was last seen wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt, brown pants, white shoes and a blue hat, according to the alert.

Police said he walks with a silver cane.
