Truck/Vehicle Accident On I-84 Cleared In Hartford: UPDATE

HARTFORD, CT — The chaos that best describes Hartford's Monday afternoon commute continued with yet another accident on a Hartford highway, this one involving a tractor trailer and a vehicle.

But as quickly as it happened, crews had the scene cleared.

According to the state Department of Transportation, the crash occurred on Interstate 84 West between exits 47 and 46, resulting in the closure of the left lane.

The accident was first reported at 4:16 p.m. and by 4:33 p.m., the scene was reported cleared by the DOT.

This latest wreck comes after two other accidents on I-91 Monday afternoon, a debris incident on I-91, and a motorcycle crash on I-84 — all happening in Hartford.
