Crash That Caused Traffic Jam In Hartford Cleared: UPDATE

HARTFORD/EAST HARTFORD, CT — Interstate 84 in the greater Hartford area was a mess Wednesday afternoon as a major accident involving a truck and several vehicles, according to the state Department of Transportation.

But that crash has now been cleared.

The DOT reports that I-84 East in Hartford had a 3-mile traffic backup between exits 41 and 46 due to a tractor-trailer accident involving multiple vehicles.

That accident happened between exits 44 and 46, with the left and center lanes closed.

The crash was first reported at 2:58 p.m. and it is now no longer listed on the DOT's accident report list.
