New Hartford McDonald's To Celebrate Grand Re-Opening

Saturday's festivities will include a ribbon-cutting and several fun activities.

HARTFORD, CT — The Golden Arches just got a bit more golden as a a fully remodeled and upgraded McDonald’s will officially open in the city Saturday.

The new McDonald's restaurant is at 214 Prospect Ave. and representatives are inviting the community to celebrate the grand re-opening on Saturday, April 29, with a ribbon cutting ceremony and several fun family activities.

The ribbon-cutting is at 11 a.m.

Expected to be on hand is state Rep. Joshua Hall, D-Hartford, and restaurant owner/operator Judy Young.

The event will showcase the restaurant’s newest features, including an updated drive-through to improve ordering for customers and digital ordering kiosks, as well as new lobby furnishings.

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the grand opening will include: giveaways and raffle drawings; balloon animals; face painting; and photos with "Dora" and "Diego."

All community members are invited to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony and the family fun celebrations.
