Officers Hurt In Shooting Sunday Afternoon: East Hartford PD
Local and state law enforcement authorities are investigating a disturbance classified as an 'officer-involved shooting.'

EAST HARTFORD, CT — State investigators are probing a serious incident in East Hartford Sunday in which multiple local police officers were rushed to the hospital after a shooting.
Details about what happened were still unknown, but the East Hartford Police Department said the shooting happened shortly before 3:30 p.m.
That's when, police said, officers rushed to 224 Governor St. for a reported "disturbance."

It was during this incident, police said, that "an officer-involved shooting occurred"
"The officers involved have been taken to the hospital for evaluation," wrote police in a statement Sunday.

Police said there was no threat to the public.
No further details were released, but WFSB Channel 3 reported that two police vehicles were seen at the location, one with apparent bullet holes in the windshield.
East Hartford Police are investigating along with the Connecticut Inspector General's Office, Hartford Judicial District Office, and the Connecticut State Police Central District Major Crime Squad.
The EHPD referred further questions to the state.
