One Dead In Hartford Drive-By Shooting Tuesday: Reports

This is the third fatal shooting in four days in Hartford, with four killed total.

HARTFORD, CT — A tragic stretch of summer in Hartford continued Tuesday evening with yet another fatal shooting, the third in four days.

WFSB Channel 3 reports a man in his 20s was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting outside a pizza restaurant on Barbour Street at about 8 p.m. Tuesday.

In addition, WFSB reports a man in his 70s was critically wounded in the incident.

According to WVIT Channel 30, Hartford police said neither was the intended target and they believe the shooting victims were innocent bystanders.

There are no suspects in this shooting, according to WVIT.

Tuesday's fatal drive-by shooting is the third fatal shooting in four days in Hartford.

On Saturday, four were shot inside a Hartford apartment, with two being killed, including a 17-year-old girl, who police Tuesday said had since died.

A male victim in the Saturday shooting had already died and police continue to investigate suspects in that incident.

Then, on Monday, a 64-year-old-woman was shot and killed in Hartford in an apparent domestic incident, with police taking a 63-year-old man in custody.
