Pair of Convicted Felons Shot in Hartford
The men were shot on Zion Street Sunday night,m according to police.

HARTFORD, CT — A pair of convicted felons sustained gunshot wounds during an incident on Zion Street Sunday night.
At 7:36 p.m., Hartford police received a "Shot Spotter" activation in the area of 593 Zion Street. Officers responded to the area and discovered blood on the ground in front of 597 Zion Street, Deputy Chief Brian Foley said.
While police were canvassing the area for the victim, dispatch advised on-scene officers that a shooting victim had just arrived at Hartford Hospital via private vehicle. Additional officers responded to the hospital to assist with the investigation, Foley said.

Upon arrival at the hospital, police learned the victim, Eric Lozada, 24, was already being treated by a trauma team and being prepped for surgery. It was advised he had been struck multiple times, Foley said.
On the rear third floor porch of 601 Zion Street, a second victim, Raul Santana, 24, was found hiding from officers and suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his right ankle. Aetna Ambulance transported Santana to Hartford Hospital for further medical treatment, Foley said.

Both victims are in stable condition.
Lozada and Santana each have extensive arrest histories in the city of Hartford. Both are convicted felons actively on Connecticut probation.
