Parkville Market Seeks To Open For Take-Out Only

Parkville Market is nearly ready to go and some vendors may be offer take-out options.

HARTFORD, CT — Parkville Market may open this month for takeout sales only, according to Hartford Business Journal. The $5.1 million, 20,000-square-foot hall was nearly complete before the coronavirus pandemic hit and closed businesses across the state.

The market is currently gauging how many of its 11 food vendors will be willing to open for takeout-only sales. There are still some final hurdles to clear before this can happen, such as securing building inspection and certificate of occupancy approvals, according to Hartford Business Journal.

Parkville Market is expected to open in early 2020 and bring hundreds of jobs to the area. Described as Connecticut's first food hall, it will be housed in the Capitol City Lumber Co. building at 1400 Park St.
