Pedestrian Killed by Train in Hartford
The fatal train accident took place on Wednesday afternoon.

HARTFORD, CT — A pedestrian was killed in a train accident in the city on Wednesday afternoon, Deputy Police Chief Brian Foley said.
Hartford police officers and Amtrak Police were at the scene of the crash, which took place at about 4:30 p.m. near Windsor Street and the Battles interchange, Foley said.
Amtrak says serviced was expected to be "temporarily slowed" coming into Hartford but "not severely affected" while the scene is being investigated.

Trains were expected to be back up to speed by 7 p.m., Foley estimated.
At about 5 p.m., passengers on the train involved were moved to another train, Foley said.
