Pilot Ejected From Plane After Crash At Hartford Airport: Reports
The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
HARTFORD, CT — A pilot was injured Saturday when a small plane crashed shortly after takeoff at the Hartford-Brainard Airport, according to authorities and reports.
The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed the single-engine Lancair IV-P crashed around 3:30 p.m. Only the pilot was on board, an FAA spokesperson told Patch.
Authorities told NBC Connecticut and WFSB that the plane crashed on the turf runway. The pilot was ejected during the crash and suffered burns and a possible fracture, both outlets reported.

The pilot was taken to the hospital for treatment, according to WFSB.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash.
