Police Probe Hartford's 14th Homicide Of 2022
A 24-year-old Hartford man was found dead in a vehicle after attempting to flee once his car was riddled with bullets.
HARTFORD — Police in the city are investigating Hartford's 14th homicide of the year following the shooting death of a 24-year-old man Friday evening.
According to Fox 61 news, the victims was Harford resident Jordan Maddox.
The homicide happened on Bellevue Street in Hartford;s North End, according to Fox 61.
Hartford Police Lt. Lt. Aaron Boisvert told Fox 61 the department received reports of gunfire at 9:13 p.m.
Fox 61 said Boisvert told the station the victim was in a vehicle and more than 10 rounds of gunfire rained bullets inside the vehicle.
This caused the victim to try and drive away and then he crashed, Fox 61 reported.
According to WFSB Channel 3, the shooting victim was found in a car that crashed near Sanford Street.
WFSB said police found the victim was unresponsive and was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
According to WFSB, police said they are investigating this incident, and are asking anyone with information to call the Hartford PD Tip Line at 860-722-8477.
