Police Search For Man Wanted In Sparking Massive Hartford Blaze
Police said they have a warrant for the arrest of a suspect connected to a fire that cause $1.5 million in damages.
HARTFORD, CT — Police are searching for a man accused of igniting a January fire at Central Auto that resulted in $1.5 million in damages, according to NBC CT. Jimmy Diaz allegedly started the massive fire by setting off illegal fireworks.
Police said Diaz is wanted for arson, reckless endangerment, and criminal mischief. Diaz had fled to Florida but may be back in Connecticut, according to NBC CT.
At the time, the fire shutdown Brainard Airport and closed an MDC location.
