Update: Two Arrested in Credit Union Robbery

Suspects in their 20s were charged with multiple offenses.

HARTFORD, CT — Police have reportedly arrested two men in connection with a credit union robbery, reports the Hartford Courant.

The Courant has identified the men as Hakeem Malik, 26, and Zaiqwan Fothergill, 20, of Hartford.

The charged, report the Courant, are first-degree robbery, first-degree conspiracy to commit robbery, second-degree threatening, carrying a pistol without a permit and interfering with police.

WFSB Channel 3 reports the robbery was at a Cencap Federal Credit Union branch.

According to the BreakingNowCT Twitter feed, police activity reported at Hartford's Tower Avenue this morning may have been linked to that robbery.
