Man Killed On Hartford Road Was Advocate For The Blind: Report
He and his partner died after being hit by a speeding vehicle Wednesday morning in Hartford, authorities said.
HARTFORD, CT — More details have been revealed about the two men killed in a pedestrian accident Wednesday morning in Hartford, with WFSB Channel 3 reporting one of them was an advocate for the blind.
According to WFSB Channel 3, Hartford police have identified the victims killed on Blue Hills Avenue Wednesday as Steve Famiglietti, 49, of Hartford, and Corey Richmond, 36, of New Haven.
Famiglietti, WFSB reported, was the manager of the Eleanor A. Brooks Blindness Support Center at Oak Hill in Hartford.

The center reported Richmond was Famiglietti's partner and both were struck and killed by a vehicle Wednesday morning.
Charged in connection with the tragedy is 30-year-old Billy Hamilton, who was charged with two counts of reckless driving and two counts of second-degree manslaughter.
