Fatal Shooting/Crash Linked To Road Rage: Hartford PD
A young Hartford man was shot and killed in his vehicle.
HARTFORD, CT — A possible road rage incident appears to be behind a shooting/car accident incident in Hartford Thursday evening that claimed the life of a 23-year-old man.
According to WVIT Channel 30, the victim has been identified as Hartford resident Manuel Rodriguez, 23, who was shot in the head just prior to crashing a car on Hillside Avenue at about 5:30 p.m.
WFSB Channel 3 is reporting that Hartford police said the incident appears to be a road rage situation.

According to Channel 3, a suspect vehicle deliberately slammed into the victim's vehicle and then the victim's vehicle attempted to flee.
When the victim's vehicle followed the suspect's vehicle through the city, a passenger in the suspect vehicle got out and fired shots into the victim's vehicle, WFSB reported, citing police.

The incident came several hours after a motorist was found dead behind the wheel in Southington with a gunshot wound, though the circumstances of that incident are still being investigated.
A suspect from Meriden has been charged in connection with that incident, which claimed the life of a Waterbury man.
