Update: 2nd I-84 Accident Cleared In Hartford

HARTFORD, CT — A second crash in the greater Hartford area on Interstate 84 was, again, causing traffic headaches, with this accident happening in Hartford.

But as of 1:37 p.m., according to the state Department of Transportation's Twitter feed, that accident had been cleared.

According to the DOT, I-84 eastbound was congested in Hartford between exits 41 and 48.

The two-vehicle accident, first reported at 1:12 p.m., had resulted in the right lane being closed and traffic backed up for 3.5 miles, DOT officials said.

This came less than an hour after a crash nearby on I-84 east snarled traffic in West Hartford. That crash has been cleared.
