Serious Crash In East Hartford Cleared: UPDATE

EAST HARTFORD, CT — A serious crash on rain-slicked roads in East Hartford has caused major traffic problems for Interstate 84 motorists, but it is now cleared.

According to the state Department of Transportation, the three-vehicle accident was on I-84 westbound between exits 54 and 51.

As a result, the left and center lanes were closed and, then, the right shoulder was reported closed, according to the DOT.

The accident was first reported at 9:42 a.m. and it is no longer on the DOT's incident list.
