Serious Crash Cleared In Hartford

HARTFORD, CT — A serious crash on Interstate 84 in Hartford had backed up traffic on Interstate 84 while responders worked the scene, but it is now cleared, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The DOT reports the crash happened on I-84 east and involved an overturned motor vehicle between exits 48 and 49, resulting in the highway's closure.

The accident was first reported at 2:11 p.m. and it was cleared by 2:57 p.m., according to the DOT.

Initially, the DOT said the highway was completely closed, but it eventually indicated the left and center lanes of the interstate were closed.
