Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued For Hartford/Tolland County
The National Weather Service has just issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the region.
HARTFORD/TOLLAND, CT — A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Hartford and Tolland counties until 10 p.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
“Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected later today into tonight into across portions of southern New England….The main severe weather threats are damaging straight line wind gusts along with large hail. Heavy rain may result in localized flooding too. Lastly, an isolated tornado can not be ruled out.”

Tonight: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 3am and 4am. Cloudy, with a low around 67. South wind 5 to 8 mph becoming light and variable after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 11am. Patchy fog between 9am and 10am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. North wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9am. Patchy fog between 9am and 10am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 72. Northeast wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
