St. Francis Lands On US News Best Hospitals List
The hospital made the list for the ninth year in a row.
HARTFORD, CT — Saint Francis Hospital has been recognized as a Best Hospital for 2021-22 by U.S. News & World Report, according to a statement. Saint Francis is being recognized for the ninth consecutive year.
Saint Francis was also recognized in 10 individual care categories for providing top level services in all of the following: Stroke, Heart Attack, Heart Failure, Aortic Valve Surgery, Diabetes, COPD, Kidney Failure, Colon Cancer Surgery, Hip Replacement, and Knee Replacement.
“Being recognized as a Best Hospital by U.S. News & World Report is a testament to our physicians, nurses, and other clinical providers, as well as our non-clinical teams who all work tirelessly to ensure that patient-centered care is at the forefront of our thinking at all times,” President of Saint Francis Hospital Thomas Burke said in a statement.

For the 2021-22 rankings and ratings, U.S. News evaluated more than 4,750 medical centers nationwide in 15 specialties and 17 procedures and conditions. In the 15 specialty areas, 175 hospitals were ranked in at least one specialty.
The rankings will be published in the U.S. News “Best Hospitals 2022” guidebook.
