Stop & Shop Bloomfield Celebrates Grand Reopening of Newly Remodeled Store
Fresh New Look and Expanded Product Selection Await Customers

Stop & Shop is announcing the grand reopening of its newly remodeled store in Bloomfield, CT. With a focus on improving customer experience and convenience, the location at 313 Cottage Grove Road features a fresh and modern layout with expanded assortment of more than 800 new products across the entire store. The Quincy-based grocery chain is engaged in a multi-year investment to improve the customer shopping experience, which includes lower prices and store remodels across the region.
“We’re incredibly proud to celebrate this grand reopening and continue serving the Bloomfield community with a refreshed store experience that makes shopping easier, more convenient, and more enjoyable for our customers,” said Dave Skoglund, Store Manager at Stop & Shop Bloomfield. “We’re especially proud to continue our partnership with Weaver High School and the Beaver’s Den pantry, and we look forward to making a meaningful impact in the lives of students and families for years to come.”
To commemorate the Bloomfield store’s grand reopening and honor its commitment to the community, Stop & Shop will donate an additional $2,000 to the “Beaver’s Den” pantry at the Weaver High School in Hartford. Earlier this year the supermarket partnered with the school to open the pantry with a $7,500 grant as part of the Stop & Shop School Food Pantry Program. The program was established in 2019 to limit barriers impacting students’ ability to succeed in the classroom by helping to ensure that they have consistent access to food. The Stop & Shop School Food Pantry Program currently serves over 280 schools across the northeast, including four in Hartford, where it has donated a total of $94,500 in recent years. It is one of the largest school food pantry programs in the country. Stop & Shop makes annual grants to support its school pantries, so Weaver High School will have the opportunity to re-apply for funding in 2027 and beyond.
