Son Charged In Middletown Father's Stabbing Death In Hartford: Reports

With the son in custody, the 78-year-old victim has been identified as a Middletown man.

HARTFORD, CT — The city's first homicide of 2025 is being investigated as a possible patricide, with a 49-year-old suspect in custody after being accused of stabbing his father to death Saturday.

According to WFSB Channel 3, the suspect has been identified as Raybin Hokim, 49, with the victim identified as his father, Vincent Hokim, 78, of Middletown.

Citing the Hartford Police Department, WFSB reported that Vincent Hokim was found dead inside a vehicle on Weston Street outside of a motel.

WTNH Channel 8 reported that at about 11 a.m. Saturday, police were called to a report of two men fighting inside a car in that area.

The victim was stabbed multiple times in the knife attack, WTNH reported.
