“Golfers who haven’t played our Hartford courses recently will be awed by the renovations,” said Mentz. “The greens are impeccable and Keney has been redesigned to be a bit more difficult.”
Mentz notes that both courses are encouraging experienced golfers and those who are new to the game to come out and play. They have hosted the first CT Latinas Golf Team, PGA Junior Golf Camps and Leagues and PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere), for Veterans with physical and emotional disabilities.
Now they are honoring those who serve in law enforcement, as first responders and as active military personnel by offering $5 off greens fees every Monday, Friday and Saturday after 1 pm. at Goodwin Park. Keney Park is offering the discount Monday through Friday 11am – 1 pm and after 1 pm on the weekends.
“Convenient locations and friendly layouts make the courses accessible for everyone regardless of skill level,” said Mentz. “There is still plenty of time to get outside and enjoy the great sport of golf.”
