Teen Charged In East Hartford Homicide Case
East Hartford police have charged a 15-year-old from Hartford in connection with a deadly weekend shooting.

EAST HARTFORD, CT — East Hartford police have charged a 15-year-old from Hartford in connection with a deadly weekend shooting.
At approximately 2:45 p.m. Sunday, emergency responders located an unresponsive teen with gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead and identified as a 17-year-old East Hartford resident.
Police said East Hartford detectives began investigating the incident as a homicide. The investigation, assisted by evidence gathered by the East Hartford Police Intelligence Center and captured by the recently installed Street Security Camera system, progressed rapidly, according to police.

Police said detectives quickly identified and arrested the suspect, a 15-year-old boy from Hartford.
He is currently in state custody being held on a manslaughter charge.
