Update: I-91 Hartford Crash Now Cleared

HARTFORD — A crash that had motorists wary of Interstate 91 southbound for a while Wednesday morning has now been cleared, according to the state Department of Transportation.

DOT officials said via Twitter that the three-vehicle accident was finally cleaned up by 8:52 a.m. Wednesday.

The crash happened about 0.46 miles from Exit 33 near Jennings Road.

According to the DOT, the accident happened at about 7:56 a.m. and it resulted in two left lanes being closed.
