WFSB 3 TV meteorologists said the Canadian wildfire smoke returns Saturday.
"When it comes to storm chances, a warm front lifts north in the late morning and into the afternoon, bringing a round of showers and possible downpours," WFSB 3 TV meteorologists said. "If these happen to move over the same location repeatedly, this will increase the flash flood threat... however, poor drainage flooding is possible under any of these downpours.

WFSB 3 TV said that in the mid to late afternoon, a cold front will approach the region, which will spark another round of potentially severe weather.
"As the cold front sweeps through, strong to severe thunderstorms are expected," WFSB 3 TV said. "Damaging wind gusts (downed limbs, power outages) are the primary threat in severe storms, while frequent lightning will be an issue in any storm that develops. Given how much wind shear is present, an isolated tornado somewhere within the region cannot be ruled out. Also will mention the possibility of large hail if any supercell thunderstorms can manage to form. The front clears tonight as things turn drier after midnight." (Read more at WFSB 3 TV).
