The board is confident that membership will thrive under the direction of Mr. Arnold, board President Susan Barnes said. “George comes to us with a wealth of private club experience and we are thrilled to announce his appointment”
His thirty year career includes many senior management roles such as the General Manager/COO of Burning Tree Country Club in Greenwich, CT, Larchmont Shore Club in Larchmont, NY, Pine Orchard Yacht and Country Club in Branford, CT and Innis Arden Golf Club in Old Greenwich CT. He began his career in San Francisco at The Pacific Union Club on Nob Hill, after serving six years in the United States Navy. Mr. Arnold has two certifications: Certified Club Manager (CCM) and Certified Club Executive (CCE). His participation in the Club Management Association of America for two decades has only enhanced his leadership skills.
In previous positions, George strengthened membership numbers, orchestrated long range planning, oversaw technology updates, facilitated building design, updated Human Resources policy and procedure and streamlined restaurant operations.
Mr. Arnold is committed to not only providing a quality club for women to meet, but also growing membership and sales at the Club’s fine dining restaurant, while maximizing meeting and party rentals. “We are excited by the prospect of all that George brings to our organization,” Barnes said, “And look forward to a long and meaningful tenure.”
