No injuries were reported, which probably explains Connecticut State Police's humorous notification of the situation.
"Hay everyone: we’re going to 'make hay' with this post. Soon, this situation will be 'baled' out, but for now, please avoid the I-91 Southbound Exit 30 on-ramp (to I-84 East) in Hartford," wrote state police in a social media post.

A published photo clearly shows the mess, with hay bales seemingly everywhere.
As for the puns, the Connecticut state police were unrelenting.
"A tractor trailer carrying bales of hay has overturned, blocking the ramp completely. So, hay, we ask everyone to allow crews to clean up this impromptu hayfield," wrote the CSP.
"We cannot confirm there are needles in any of these haystacks. Please, do not bring livestock to the ramp for a grazing lunch."
