'Trump' Chant at Classical Hoop Game Deemed Offensive
Canton school officials say students' chant "damaged our reputation."

CANTON, CT — Canton High School officials have reacted to a student chant which has been deemed offensive during an NCCC tournament game against Classical Magnet School Tuesday night.
During the course of the game, a group of Canton students chanted "Trump, Trump, Trump" while the Gladiators were attempting free throws, the Hartford Courant reported.
Canton principal Andrew DiPippo sent a letter to families Wednesday, explaining the chanting students "crossed this line with their comments and have damaged our reputation." The entire student body was called to an assembly Wednesday to discuss the incident, which is still under investigation.
