Two Hartford Hospitals Cited For Violations: Report
Hartford Hospital and St. Vincent's were cited for violations by the DPH recently.
HARTFORD, CT — Two city hospitals were cited for violations by the state Department of Public Health, according to Connecticut Health I-Team.
Hartford Hospital was investigated for failing to follow-up on alleged abuse by a doctor. On Jan. 9, a patient underwent a pacemaker procedure. During the procedure, a nurse said the doctor slammed his hands on the patient's mid-abdomen, according to Connecticut Health I-Team.
An internal complaint was filed against the doctor, but no follow-up immediately occurred.

St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center was cited for its failure to prevent a suicidal patient from committing self-harm in January, Connecticut Health I-Team reported.
