Two-Vehicle Wreck In Hartford Cleared: Update

HARTFORD, CT — A two-vehicle crash on Interstate 84 in Hartford caused major traffic problems for morning commuters Thursday morning, according to the state Department of Transportation, but it is now cleared.

The DOT reported a two-vehicle accident on I-84 east between exis 50 and 51 caused a 1.7-mile backup of traffic.

Because of the crash, the left and center lanes were closed, the DOT said.

The accident was first reported at 9:16 a.m. and it was reported cleared by 9:57 a.m., according to the DOT.
