Warehouse Logistics Shareholder Sues for $51M Over Shareholder Rights

STAMFORD, CONN.— Co-founder Jonathan Moris of Invata Holdings has recently won the first battle in his fight for $51 million, involving employment and shareholder rights.

Moris is suing business partner Ryan Sheehan for a litany of acts that include breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, unjust enrichment and fraud.

Sheehan’s legal team asked Superior Court Judge Lisa Kelly Morgan in the district of New Britain, Connecticut, to dismiss the case, claiming Sheehan wasn’t subject to a Connecticut court’s jurisdiction. In late June, however, Moris’ legal team—Pastore LLC—asked for a discovery period and an evidentiary hearing to determine proper jurisdiction. The judge agreed with Pastore, granting a stay of the motion for dismissal, which could last until the end of the year.

The ongoing discovery period will likely reveal additional facts that reinforce the relationship between Invata Holdings, its leadership and Connecticut, demonstrating the court’s jurisdiction over the defendants.
