Weaver Ranked Near Top in Latest Boys Basketball Poll; Hartford Public Also Gets Votes

The Beavers have opened the campaign with six wins in seven games, while the Owls are 3-0.

HARTFORD, CT — Hillhouse High School maintained the top spot in the latest weekly boys basketball poll, conducted by members of the Connecticut media.

The Academics have opened defense of their 2016 Class LL championship by winning their first four outings this season.

Weaver, last year's Class LL runnerup, is fourth with a 6-1 mark, while Hartford Public (3-0) missed the top 10 but received some voter support.
