HARTFORD, CT — Two major events in the city this weekend have Hartford police issuing warnings about potential traffic issues.

On Saturday, Sept. 21, Post Malone will be performing at the Xfinity Theater in Hartford, with main gates there opening at 5:30 p.m.

Police recommend that ticket holders arrive "several hours" early to avoid "heavy traffic congestion."

Mass transit commuter options are also being floated by police as a means to see the show.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, Sept. 22, the 2024 Greater Hartford Puerto Rican Day Parade & Festival will take place.

The parade kicks off at 1 p.m. at Park Street and Park Terrace, with marchers continuing east on Park Street, then north on Main Street, and ending on Pearl Street.

As a result, Park Street will be closed to all traffic during the parade and it will reopen later in the day.
