West Hartford Man Dead After Hartford Crash: Police
A 64-year-old West Hartford man died after a single-vehicle crash on New Road in Hartford late Thursday, police said.
HARTFORD/WEST HARTFORD, CT— A 64-year-old West Hartford man died Thursday night after his vehicle crashed into concrete barriers on New Road, according to the Hartford Police Department.
Police said officers responded at approximately 10:03 p.m. Thursday, July 30, to the area of 80 New Road following reports of a serious motor vehicle crash.
Hartford Fire Department personnel also responded and found a vehicle that had struck concrete barriers near the cul-de-sac.

The driver, identified as David Lemkey, 64, of West Hartford, was found inside the vehicle with life-threatening injuries.
Lemkey was transported to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The Hartford Police Crime Scene Division has assumed the investigation. Police said the cause and circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
