White Powder Incident Delays Hartford School Dismissal

Two students were exposed to the powder, but aren't showing signs of illness.

HARTFORD, CT — Two students at Burns School were exposed to a white powder substance after finding a balloon or ball during Monday afternoon recess, according to media reports.

Officials with the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection are working to identify the powder, according to the Hartford Courant.

The students aren't showing any signs of illness, according to NBC Connecticut.
