Woman Critical After Being Hit By Gunfire In Hartford: Police

The shooting happened late on Saturday night.

HARTFORD, CT — A woman in her 40s was critically injured after being shot in Hartford late Saturday night.

According to the Hartford Police Department, officers were called at approximately 11:34 p.m. on Saturday to a ShotSpotter activation near 17 Barbour St.

When they arrived, officers located a female victim in her 40s suffering from a gunshot wound, the HPD said in a release.

Police said the woman was alert and conscious and transported to an area hospital, where she was listed in critical, but stable, condition.

The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions responded and is leading the investigation.
