Woman Killed, Hartford Council To Address Violence

After a woman was shot and killed Saturday night in Hartford, city leaders Monday night are expected to address the situation.

HARTFORD, CT — It was another deadly weekend in the state's capitol as a woman was shot and killed Saturday night.

According to WFSB Channel 3, the police were called to 73 Colonial St. after a person was reported shot and officer found a woman, who was eventually pronounced dead, inside a building there.

As a result of this and other shootings in the city this year, the Hartford City Council's regular virtual meeting tonight will also address the ongoing problem of gun violence and crime in the city, according to WTNH Channel 8.

The virtual council meeting is at 7 p.m. and is available for viewing via internet and public access cable.
