Woman Killed, Suspect Arrested In Hartford Crash [VIDEO]

A convicted felon in possession of narcotics and a stolen firearm has been charged in connection with the fatal crash.

HARTFORD, CT — A Hartford woman was killed Thursday night when the car she was driving was struck by another vehicle which had run a red light, and was operated by a convicted felon in possession of narcotics and a stolen firearm.

Around 7:55 p.m., police were dispatched to a multi-vehicle accident at the corner of Barbour and Westland streets. Four vehicles were involved, and seven people were transported to area hospitals, according to a police report.

Deidre Gray, 32, of Hartford, was pronounced dead at St. Francis Hospital at 8:45 p.m. Her 12-year-old son, a passenger in her car, sustained bumps and bruises, and is currently with family members, police said.

The driver of the car which struck Gray's car has been identified as Patrick Milner, 24, of Hartford. He was found to be in possession of a stolen Glock .40 caliber firearm, with a magazine containing nine rounds. Heroin and marijuana were also found on his person, police said.

Milner is charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, weapons in a motor vehicle, criminal possession of a firearm, stealing a firearm and possession of narcotics. More charges are expected to be filed, police said.
