Woman Seriously Injured In East Hartford Crash: Police

EAST HARTFORD, CT — A single-vehicle crash on westbound Route 2 in East Hartford early Monday left a local driver with suspected serious injuries and prompted a request for witnesses, according to Connecticut State Police.

Trooper First Class John N. Wilson of Troop H in Hartford reported the crash occurred at 4:47 a.m. on Monday, April 20, near the Exit 2A on-ramp.

Police said Anna L. St. Preux-Dalusme, 43, of East Hartford, was driving a 2020 Toyota RAV4 in the right lane when, “for an unknown reason,” the vehicle left the travel lane, entered the shoulder, and struck a metal beam guide rail.

The vehicle then crossed back left and hit the concrete median barrier, police said.

The SUV came to an uncontrolled rest facing southwest, partially across the right lane and shoulder, Wilson reported.

St. Preux-Dalusme, who was wearing a lap belt and had an airbag deployment, was transported by Aetna Ambulance to Hartford Hospital with suspected serious injuries, police said.

The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

About 20 feet of metal beam guide rail, maintained by the Connecticut Department of Transportation, was damaged, according to the report.

Police said the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
