Update: Disabled Vehicle Cleared On I-91 In Hartford

Single-vehicle situation closed right lane on the northbound side. Secondary, two-vehicle accident reported in shoulder afterward.

HARTFORD, CT — Traffic on Interstate 91 was slow going in Hartford Wednesday morning after a single-vehicle incident on the northbound side and a secondary crash involving two vehicles nearby.

But DOT officials via Twitter later clarified the single-vehicle situation, originally classified as an accident, was a disabled vehicle. That has been cleared, according to the DOT, as of 9:02 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the State Department of Transportation, the first incident happened on the northbound side between exits 29 and 29a.

The DOT then reported a secondary, two-vehicle accident nearby between those same exits, this time resulting in closure of the left-hand shoulder in that area.
