Update: Third I-84 Crash Cleared in Hartford

HARTFORD, CT — Accidents made traveling a stretch of Interstate 84 in Hartford a hazardous journey Thursday morning, with a third wreck now cleared after snarling traffic there.

According to the state Department of Transportation, the morning's third crash was a two-vehicle accident on I-84 east between exits 44 and 46, resulting in the left lane being closed.

The crash was reported at 9:36 a.m.

According to the DOT's Twitter feed, that accident was cleared as of 10:38 a.m. Thursday.

This was the third such accident on that stretch of highway Thursday morning, with prior incidents reported and cleared up on I-84 east as well, including another two-vehicle wreck.
