Inman, Allen, Weber: Recent Death Notices From Ledyard

LEDYARD, CT — Recent death notices from Ledyard.

Julia "Judy" Gates Avery Weber, 90, died Aug. 31, 2026. She graduated from Robert E. Fitch High School in 1953 and earned a nursing degree from Memorial Hospital and Joseph Lawrence School of Nursing in 1956, then served as a nurse in the U.S. Navy. She later bred and raised champion Morgan horses on her family's dairy farm and donated a large part of it to the Groton Open Space Association. She is survived by two daughters, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren

Kevin J. Inman, 65, died Aug. 18, 2026. He served in the U.S. Navy submarine service from 1979 to 1987, then worked as an electrician for the state of Connecticut. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Susan Garside, two daughters and 11 grandchildren.

Robert Richard Gudz, 87, died Aug. 17, 2026. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War with the 7th Cavalry Regiment, then spent his career designing U.S. Navy submarine systems, starting at General Dynamics Electric Boat before becoming a Department of the Navy civilian employee. He is survived by two sons, a daughter and seven grandchildren.

Constance "Winkie" Wood Miller, 83, died Aug. 12, 2026. A passionate genealogist, she traced her family lineage to Sweden and England as far back as the late 1500s and was an active member of the Anna Warner Bailey chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She is survived by three children, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mark J. Allen, 59, died Aug. 6, 2026. A licensed plumber known as "Mr. Fixit," he was an avid fisherman who raised koi fish in his ponds. He is survived by three sisters and a brother.
