Attempted Car Thefts Reported In Ledyard

LEDYARD, CT — Police received a report last week about people attempting to enter vehicles on Stoddards View in Gales Ferry. Officers responded and encountered two vehicles that fled.

One of those was a stolen car taken from Middletown.

Residents’ cars had also been entered on Bittersweet Drive, Baron Court, and Vinegar Hill Road, according to police.

"As we continue to investigate these incidents, please remember to lock your vehicles and remove all valuables," police wrote on Facebook.
