Ben & Jerry's 'Free Cone Day' Returns To Foxwoods

Ben & Jerry's will once again be spreading peace, love and free ice cream during its annual "Free Cone Day" this month.

MASHANTUCKET, CT – Foxwoods Resort Casino will be the sweet spot for Ben & Jerry’s “Free Cone Day” taking place Tuesday, April 10 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Foxwoods guests are invited to stop by for a cup or a cone of their favorite flavor of ice cream from the two guys that began their journey in a renovated gas station in Burlington, Vt. in 1978.

All donations collected during “Free Cone Day” will benefit the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut, according to a release. Ben & Jerry's at Foxwoods is located in the Fox Tower Skywalk.

Since 1979, Ben & Jerry’s has celebrated “Free Cone Day” as a way to say thanks to their awesome fans for another year of support. They have kept it up every year since, spreading peace, love and free ice cream around the world.

United Way of Southeastern Connecticut is a locally-based non-profit organization supporting a network of 72 health and human services, programs and initiatives in New London County that work together to help people in need and improve community conditions.

Supported programs include early care and education, child development and disabilities, physical and mental health care, crisis intervention, shelter, employment training, emergency/disaster preparation and response and recovery service.

United Way operates the Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Center, which provides food to 81 free emergency food programs at no cost to those in need, and a Mobile Food Pantry program.
