Ledyard Officials To Apply For Bike Lanes, Sidewalks Grant

Ledyard officials were given approval to apply for a grant to add sidewalks and bike lanes to a section of Colonel Ledyard Highway.

LEDYARD, CT - Ledyard officials were given approval Wednesday night by the town's Finance Committee to apply for a grant, the New London Day reported. The grant would allow for sidewalks and bike lanes to be added to a portion of Colonel Ledyard Highway.

The new sidewalks and bike lanes would be built on a stretch of road between Ledyard High School and Ledyard Center, according to the New London Day. The portion of the road would equate to roughly a mile-long stretch. (To sign up for Ledyard breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
