I haven't blogged in a long time. I guess life just got in the way. However when something hits home and there is no where to turn, I guess the old saying "Power of The Press" comes into play.
I've lived in my neighborhood since 2004. We enjoy living here, there are a few sweet and wonderful people that live in my neighborhood, but with the good comes the bad. Every neighborhood has their bad seeds. I'm sure to a few that live here I may even be considered a bad seed.
About 3 years ago one of the families that live here decided that they were going to dislike my family. We were never close friends, we were never even friends, but we never had any problems with one another, we as few would say co-existed. All was fine, until the dreaded day where a few families decided they were going to get involved in something that wasn't their business. This one particular person took their hate for us to the extreme.

Spewing filth at me, my friends that would come visit, even the poor boy that would come and mow my lawn got attacked. Now I am an adult, I can handle anything that is thrown at me. Knowing my wonderful existance in this neighborhood, in this town, in this world simply annoys certain people, makes me a very happy camper!
What doesn't make me a happy camper is when the adult starts to bully my 12 year old child. There is a new group that is being formed by wonderful friends of mine, it is an anti-bullying group called It Only Takes 15 Seconds, this group is trying to stop bullying in our schools and my neighborhood. But how does one stop the bullying of an adult? This person is in their late 60's. A few have said they aren't all there, and more than a few are frightened of this person because they too have children. But how do you stop it?

In Connecticut the law states that unless it is verbal obscenities that is being spewed they cannot do anything. Obscene gestures are allowed. Really?, an adult can spew filty, obscene gestures to a 12 year old girl and nothing can be done? So they can terrorize children and get away with it?! Then if confronted, they can cry victim?!
I would like answers. No child should be bullied. Verbally, physically or even with obscene gestures, by another child or an adult.
I am reaching out to my community for some help. If anyone knows what I can do in a lawful way to stop this please let me know. If this person can bully my child with gestures, I fear what there next step may be towards my child.
