Day Tripping to Boston
Looking for a weekend escape? Boston may be just the place for you and your family!
With spring in full bloom and more free time on your hands, what are you and your family going to do? Consider taking a trip to Boston for the day for a historical adventure with your loved ones.
One of Boston’s most famous tours is the Freedom Trial. This guided tour covers
places like The Boston Common, the site of the Boston Massacre, Faneuil Hall,
The Paul Revere House, The Old North Church, The Bunker Hill Monument, and The USS Constitution. For an adult, tickets are $11, and for children they are only $5.50. However, you could also walk the trial without a guide by following the red lines painted through the town.

Another tour Boston is famous for is the Duck Tours. Especially popular with children, passengers board an authentic World War II amphibious landing vehicle for an 80 minute tour of Boston on land and on the water. Tickets can be bought online, or at the booths for the Duck Tour which are located inside the Boston Museum of Science near the gift shop, in the Prudential Center across from Barnes and Noble, at the Whale Watch booth at the New England Aquarium, and at the Bostix booth at Faneuil Hall. It is a very fun and interesting trip.
Not to mention that it’s Fenway’s 100th year anniversary. Red Sox fan or
not, bring a friend or your family and get a pair of tickets. Get ready to take
a step back in time and experience the legendary atmosphere that Fenway Park
has been famous for all of these years.

Boston has so much to do that a family staying there for a week would not be able to see everything. In Faneuil Hall and several other places in the city there is great shopping. Also, there are many street vendors, performers, and delicious
food. Don’t forget to visit Little Italy for mouth-watering pasta dishes and remember to stop by Mike’s Bakery for a whoopie pie (as big as your head), a cannoli or a chocolate éclair.
Boston is not only a reasonably priced get-a-way, but it is also family friendly and
just a short ride away.
