With severe weather ahead please remember to bring your animals in. Wind, hard rain, and loud noises can cause even the most stable dogs and cats to panic and run!
If you are asked to evacuate most animals can be left behind in a safe room with food and water to last 2-3 days. Dogs or animals with special needs are different. email us at k9ledyard@yahoo.com with questions. We will help in any way possible.
With this situation coming up and possibly more in the future we will start working on a plan for emergencies. We will need donations of crates of all sizes and stainless steel bowls. and a list of volunteers that could help. Volunteers must be over 18, knowledgable about animals with a vehicle.
