Is Ashton Manly Enough to Be a Man?
Charlie Vs. Ashton as Two and a Half Men gets ready to shoot after a two-month hiatus.
After 2 months of he's gone, he's back, the show is off for good, the show is coming back, it seems safe to say Two and a Half Men without Charlie Sheen will be back. I for one am happy that this show is coming back, cause I find it very funny, but interestingly not because of Charlie Sheen. I happen to think Jon Cryer's portrayal of Alan Harper, Charlie's neurotic, twiced divorced, poor, younger brother is the funnier of the two characters. So I couldn't understand why everyone thought this show could not go on without Charlie Sheen. While I happen to have lost any ounce of respect I had left for Charlie Sheen, I can admit he had a huge impact on this show, but irreplaceable, I think not!
Enter Ashton Kutcher, who is known for Punked, a few good movies, but mainly That '70s Show where he played Michael Kelso, a Wisconsin 1970s version of Joey Tribbiani in Friends. Kutcher's Portrayal of Kelso was fabulous, the show in my opinion was very funny, so there is no doubt in my mind that Kutcher will be a wonderful new addition to Men.
Although Sheen raked in a record-breaking $1.9 million an episode on TV's highest-rated sitcom. Kutcher will be making roughly $1 million per episode as a new roomie to Alan Harper. I haven't read how they are writing the character of Charlie Harper off of the show, Kutcher is quoted in US Weekly "I can't replace Charlie" and I for one am glad the executive producer isn't going to try to replace Sheen's character, as much as I know Men will do just fine with Kutcher, I do not think it would have survived had Kutcher taken over as Charlie Harper.

So the Two and a Half Men crisis is over! Cryer, Kutcher and the rest of the cast are all working, Sheen can continue doing whatever he does best and I can continue to set my DVR to Two and a Half Men. Life is good!
Until my next blog, have a wonderful week.
